La Vallee Bleue by Lancome: launched in 1943. Created by Armand Petitjean.


Fragrance Composition:



So what does it smell like? It was a light, refreshing perfume with a dominant note of lavender.

  • Top notes: Sicilian lemon, Italian lime, Paraguayan petitgrain
  • Middle notes: Provencal lavender, Portuguese tuberose, Grasse rose
  • Base notes: Ethiopian civet, ambergris, Mysore sandalwood, Siamese benzoin, Java vetiver




Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued, date unknown. Still being sold in 1952.
